Geng Hua, Ph.D., IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, National High-level Talent Plan inductee, Tsinghua University Long-appointed Professor, Deputy Director of the Department of Automation, Director of the University Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He lectures on the national boutique course "Fundamentals of Analogue Electronics"; presides over a number of projects such as the National Key Research and Development Plan Special Project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Excellent Youth, the Major Integration Project Project, and the Key Project, etc. He has published one scientific book, more than 200 papers, and has authorised more than 30 Chinese invention patents. He is the chairman of the 4th Smart Power and Energy Internet (SPIES) Conference in 2022, the convener of the modelling working group of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC SC8A), the editor-in-chief of the journal IEEE Trans. on Sustainable Energy, the executive director of the China Power Supply Society (CPSS), the honorary director of the Youth Working Committee, the vice-director of the Technical Committee on Power Quality, and the vice-director of the Special Committee on New Energy and Power Conversion Technology. He is mainly engaged in the research of high proportion new energy power system stabilisation and control, new energy system control and optimisation, high power power power electronics for power system applications, intelligent control of offshore wind power, and big data analysis of power distribution network.
